Mauro Lorrai is a senior Clinical Psychotherapist, a Certified Transactional Analyst (with the European Association for Transactional Analysis), an EMDR Therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and a qualified Hypnotherapist with ASHWA (Australian Society of Hypnosis Western Australia Branch Inc).
Mauro Lorrai qualified with a Doctoral Degree in Italy as Clinical Psychologist. After a further 4 years of postgraduate training, he also qualified as a Clinical Psychotherapist. Mauro Lorrai is recognized as a Clinical Psychotherapist and Counsellor Level 4 with The ACA (Australian Counselling Association) and also has been admitted as a Member of The ACA College of Clinical Counsellors. Mauro Lorrai has over 15 years’ experience.
His therapeutic approach follows an integrated personalistic humanistic model, with specific reference to the following models: experiential, behavioral, cognitive, interpersonal and psychodynamic. Mauro Lorrai’s areas of interest but not limited to, are trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety and personality disorders. He is originally Italian and in addition to English, he is happy to conduct therapy through Italian, for those clients with an Italian background. Furthermore, Mauro Lorrai is an LGBTQIA+ ally and he understand the complex mental health needs of the community.:
